This was made for my kindred spirit ~Kristen~ who lives in Nashville now with her husband and two sweet girls. But I still need to send her things of love through the mail! When we were young we enjoyed sitting in old book stores in Solvang CA and reading poetry. We loved making silly jokes that only we seemed to find funny and I enjoy her talented wit and enchanted writing skills. She is also a makeup artist and artist is just the word to describe her illuminating face masks she paints on people, that they never want to take off!! She is always near and dear to my heart.
The meaning of the heart in the center of the compass is our adventures go in all different directions but still comes back to the heart. The copper sun represents the golden hue of God that shines on our lives. The mother and child with a crown of shells means even with common day lives we are enchanted sea queens. “To Have & To Hold from this day forward” is the commitment we have to our lives and what we hold so very dear.
