Making Droid X cases…out of an old suit

Preparing the suit pocket to be  transformed into a case for the Droid X

Suits have layers of interesting fabrics you can use for so many things!!

Cutting a layer of plastic that  I will use to insert into the fabric to give the case a hard shell to protect the phone

This is the back of the case with an extra pocket for earphones.  The top is a belt loop that can be attached by buttoning it on, so you can hang the phone  from a belt.  My Logo ( a crowned heart) is at the bottom

I might steal it for mee

But alas I made it for my man

Here is the belt loop attachment

You just use the button on the back of the case to attach it to the belt loop

~And voilà~

A chic business gypsy Droid X case

The back of MY droid case

The front of the case with a little skater droid patch and a pocket for my earphones

So there are some ideas to making a phone case you will love!!

Also here is a great site for all those ladies who love their little droid copilots like mee!!

  1. Looks familiar! ..I’ve always loved the way those fabrics looked together. I’ve made another handbag out of them since :) . I’m happy to see it recycled/reused ;) (I have a Droid Eros & I love the little skater dude – the patch is a perfect finishing touch!)

I just got this message :) I loved that bag…but I lost the button on it years ago ( i was soo upset). I actually kept the sleeve part that you sewed as a front pocket for the case…I even used the extra scraps and made a hat for my BJD did you see it :) I agree I love the blues and greens together! I still have all the little scraps left, I can not throw away a piece of it! OXOX
